Well, now it's been over a month. A lot has happened, and I will write about some of it soon, I hope. For instance, we've outfitted our local cop with everything he needed for his motorcycle to get it safe and inspected, and yesterday he came by to show us his new inspection sticker. He said that out of the 8 motorcycles at his local police station, he is the only one that now has an inspection sticker. Too bad more money isn't given to the police here. And it turns out that Omar the Magnificent lived on a rancho 30 years ago on the Nicaraguan border, and his ranch was taken over by Sandinista guerrillas who ousted Somoza in Nicaragua in 1979. He said he is used to a vida dura (hard life). But he still gets a little frightened by thunder (and poisonous snakes). Click on the pictures to enlarge. I think I made them too large, so it will take a little longer to download. I'll make them smaller next time. (Back to Index)
